The Spirit of Nihil Ultra

Our allegiance to our ALMA MATER as a support group of like minded individuals brings students who have left school back to their ALMA MATER to "repay your debt to society by trying to help your less fortunate brethren" in the words of Cardinal Picachy (external link).

Just as the school uniform acts as a great leveller between boys drawn from disparate economic backgrounds, so does the umbrella of ALSOC lets old Xaverians, now at different levels of social standing, find a cementing bond in the memory of their school days.

These lines clearly epitomise the subtle reasons for lasting friendship and camaraderie. They bring back those pristine ideals which are so easily achievable in the portals but so unattainable in the real world out there.
