ALSOC: Serving Humanity... !! Service to the Community and Society

Alsoclinic : This is a free medical clinic which has been in operation for over 27 years now. It is run by the doctor members of Alsoc in the school premises and provides free medical consultation and medicines to the underprivileged. Regular health checkup camps and vaccination programs are conducted.

Titli : This is a school for the underprivileged children in the vicinity of St. Xaviers, which is financially supported by Alsoc. Boys from Class I to V are taught in classes in the same campus and during the same hours as the normal school. Free education, books, school uniforms and tiffin are provided to the boys in this school.

Night School and Vocational School : Boys from class VI onwards are taught in evening classes in the same campus. They are also trained on various vocations so as to enable them lead better lives and earn a better living. We are undertaking an ambitious program to link Titli with this school. All Titli students who pass at least class 8 will be given vocational training and guaranteed a job by Alsoc.

Bagi School : Pour Gouri Bal Balika Vidyalay, a school for the girl child in Bishnupur, 24 Parganas (S) is supported by Alsoc. This school does not have a pucca building and is devoid of even basic amenities. Alsoc has been upgrading the facilities and is in the process of building a brick and mortar school building with modern toilet facilities for the girls of the school.

Help during national calamities : ALSOC has generously contributed to the alleviation of sufferings of victims of national calamities like earthquakes, cyclones, floods and wars, and has stood behind its brethren at many such difficult times. Alsoc extended prompt support in the form of funds and material to some of the areas worst affected by the tsunami that hit India''s eastern coast.

Alma Mater : Our extended family Various projects for the maintenance of the School have been undertaken by ALSOC, in order to provide the level of infrastructure for providing world-class education for the men of the future.

Computerisation : The entire student management system and report generation has been computerized and the Primary and Senior Schools are now connected with Fibre Optic Cables laid underground by Alsoc.

Libraries : The libraries of the Primary and Senior School have been upgraded with the modern storing facilities. Hundreds of new books have been added.

Water Filtration : The Water Filtration Plants of the Primary and Senior Schools were completely renovated to provide clean and safe drinking water.

Staff Rooms : The existing staff rooms were upgraded, refurbished, and refurnished in both the Primary and Senior schools to provide a better environment for the teachers.

Other projects undertaken for the school are as follows :

• Books and prizes
• Passing out ceremony
• Belvedere College student exchange program
• Medical check up of all teachers and staff and class 4 workers
• Complete renovation of all 20 toilets in the school premises

Projects/Support extended to other Institutions/Organisations

• 200 Fans for St. Xavier's Durgapur
• 100 Fans and electrical wiring and switches for St. Pauls Raghavpur
• Supporting Jaai and pioneering the Alumni exchange program with Spain.
• Reaching out to 100,000 health care workers with correct medical information on pregnancies and neonatal care in rural areas of W. Bengal.
